Google's rule for new apps: 12 people keep it installed for 14 straight days, then the Play Store opens. steadi is a calm, mean little line-tracing game, 5 testers into that run. Take a slot and you're part of the launch.
The clock has not started. It starts when tester 12 joins, and if the count ever dips below 12 it resets to zero. The three smaller slots past the go-live ring are buffer: at 15 testers, one drop-out costs nothing.
No feedback, no forms, no homework. Play it if you fancy it, ignore it if you don't. Just keep it installed until the clock runs out.
groups.google.com/g/steadi-testers and tap "Join group". This is what tells Google you are one of the 12.
Get it on Google Play. If the page says the app is not available, you are signed into a different Google account than the one in step 1.
That is the whole job. Uninstalling or leaving the group before the end restarts the clock for everyone.
Two things: Android only for now, and the email you join with must be the Google account signed into your phone's Play Store, or the install link will not work.
steadi has one rule: follow the line from start to finish with one finger, without sliding off. Easy for about four levels. Then the line starts fighting back.
Every level is hand made and named, none of it generated. Corners get sharper, tracks get narrower, patience gets tested.
No music, no moving backgrounds, no clutter. Precision is what wins, not speed on its own.
Slide off the edge and the level resets instantly. Longer levels have checkpoints so a wobble near the end does not cost the whole run.
Easy, Cruisy, Tricky and Ridiculous. Fewer lives means a bigger score multiplier, so the hard modes pay you back.
